During your visit in Villeneuve-Loubet, let’s discover the splendid and remarkably well-preserved castle of Villeneuve. Built in the Middle Ages, the castle is made up with a superb pentagonal-shaped donjon from the XIII th century. Its two surrounding walls with circular towers date from the XVI th.
A medieval fortress
At this time, the castle welcomed the King of the France, François the 1st, who ruled his kingdom from Villeneuve for 3 weeks. Owned by the Panisses-Passis family since 1742, the castle is situated in a magnificent park planted with Mediterranean and exotic species. It is a real opportunity to have access to this private residence, to go across the gardens and to walk the covered way before entering into the magical atmosphere of the courtyard.
In summer : Special guided tour in English, visit to the park, the walls and the countyard - Adapted to children.
