A natural protected area of 100 hectares of woods and meadows that is home to numerous species of mediterranean animal and plant life.
The fresh water pond, with its exceptional biotope is one of the rarest natural sites in the department.

A birdwatching observatory has been installed. Adopted by the Romans in the 7th century B.C., the site has kept the remains of an ancient temple. 6 kms of paths, keep fit course, picnic areas and childrens' playground.

Rives du Loup Nature Reserve

It has been developed along the little coastal river that crosses the commune, the Loup. Soon it will link the coast to the spectacular Loup gorges. Today it offers you a pleasant route through the characteristic plant life along the riverside. The discovery path which is about 2 kilometres long displays information boards on the theme of water (fauna et flora, river-related human activities ...). Nature Events

All year long the Regional Council provides free events enabling you to find out more about nature in both regional parks. These are organised by the association Planète Sciences Méditerranée.
